SteadyHeart breaks heart-failure home management into small things you can do every day: log vitals, log weight, log fluid balance, take medications on time — then turns that continuous data into reports you can use at a visit. Here's each part in detail. All of these are recording and management tools; they do not provide diagnosis, treatment advice, or prescriptions.

Patient profile & vitals (FR1)

Set up your health profile to keep basic information and heart-failure background in one place, forming the baseline for later records and alerts.

  • Basic info and disease profile: HF type (HFrEF/HFmrEF/HFpEF), NYHA class, baseline LVEF, comorbidities, and allergy history.
  • Vitals: heart rate, blood pressure (systolic/diastolic), SpO₂, and temperature.
  • ECG: attach image or waveform files with notes.
  • Dry-weight baseline: set by your doctor or entered under guidance, used as the reference for weight alerts.

Phase 1 supports manual entry and import; phase 2 plans wearable aggregation via Apple HealthKit and Android Health Connect.

Fluid balance (FR2)

Keep the day's fluids in and out clear, making volume changes easier to watch.

  • Intake: direct drinking, water content from food (converted by water-content factors), and IV fluids.
  • Output: urine, stool, and overt losses (sweating, vomiting, drainage, and so on).
  • Daily net difference = total intake − total output, with running totals and a net-difference trend.

Built-in food water-content and output-estimation reference tables, plus "common portion" quick entry, keep logging light.

Medication management (FR3)

Organize your medications by common guideline drug classes and keep a full history. SteadyHeart only records — it never suggests dose changes.

  • Covers RASI/ARNI, beta-blockers, MRAs, SGLT2 inhibitors, and adjuncts such as diuretics.
  • Dose-change history: old value → new value, time, and reason/source of the order, on a timeline.
  • Reminders and check-in: prompts on schedule, one-tap confirmation, and records of actual intake and missed doses.

Important: every dose change is entered by you based on your doctor's orders. The app never proposes any medication or dose.

Weight management (FR4)

Your morning fasting weight is a key signal in heart-failure home management. SteadyHeart helps you record it steadily and see it clearly.

  • Prompts entry at a fixed time and condition, and shows 7/30/90-day trends.
  • Deterministic threshold notices: up > 1.5kg in 1 day, up > 2kg over 3 days, or exceeding a set threshold versus dry weight.

Thresholds are configurable. When one fires, it flags possible fluid retention and suggests contacting your doctor or seeking care — it does not give medication guidance.

Lab & test entry (FR5)

Record lab sheets and test results in a structured way so trends are easy to compare.

  • Covers electrolytes (K/Na/Cl/Mg), renal and hepatic function, cardiac markers, BNP/NT-proBNP, and imaging such as echocardiography.
  • OCR pre-fill: photograph and recognize to auto-draft item names, values, and reference ranges.
  • Each item carries a reference range, with direction flagged on abnormal values.

OCR results are saved only after your confirmation. Recognition is not a guarantee of accuracy — your review is what counts.

Reports & export (FR6)

Turn scattered records into continuous data your doctor can read.

  • Daily report: the day's fluid net difference, weight, medication check-ins, vitals, and a summary of abnormal flags.
  • Monthly report: weight and net-difference trends, medication adherence, dose-change timeline, key lab trends, and alert events.
  • Correlation views: weight vs net difference vs diuretic dose, NT-proBNP vs weight trend, and more.
  • PDF export uses a structured template with a full disclaimer, ready for follow-up visits.

Deterministic alerts (FR4/FR7)

SteadyHeart's alerts are rules-first: triggered by deterministic thresholds, and AI never triggers an alert.

  • Abnormalities in weight, vitals, and fluid balance are judged by fixed rules, so results are predictable and reproducible.
  • At critical values, the app guides you to seek in-person care promptly rather than offering a diagnosis or prescription.

Change-correlation insights

Correlation analysis runs on a purely local, deterministic engine and shows descriptive co-variation only (for example, "weight rising while the net difference stays positive").

It does not infer causation and gives no medication advice. It's there to help you talk with your doctor, not to make the doctor's call.

Science articles (FR8)

Understand what heart failure is, why salt and fluid limits matter, and why medications shouldn't be stopped on your own.

  • Published after human and source review, clearly separating "education" from "individualized advice."
  • Every article must cite authoritative sources (ESC/AHA/Chinese HF guidelines and the like), with source links and dates.

Voice quick entry (FR10)

When your hands are full or typing is a chore, press and hold to speak and log.

  • On-device Chinese speech recognition — privacy-friendly and usable offline.
  • A rule-based engine parses quantity, unit, category, and time, and handles several items in one utterance.
  • Recognition results appear on a preview card, and each item is confirmed by you before saving.

Offline & sync

A poor connection won't stop your records. SteadyHeart stores data in a local queue first and syncs incrementally once online.

  • Offline entries work right away and upload automatically when the connection returns.
  • Edits across devices use optimistic-lock conflict handling to keep data from overwriting itself.

Privacy & encryption

Health data is handled as sensitive personal information, with security and minimization throughout.

  • Sensitive fields use AES-256-GCM field-level encryption, and traffic uses TLS end to end.
  • Data minimization is enforced — only what's needed to record is collected.
  • Doctor authorization is explicitly enabled by you, revocable at any time, and every access is written to an audit log.
